This is Camptonville School with announcements for the week of January 7, 2018. Happy New Year to all of you. I am grateful for the much needed rain and look forward to the fresh start that 2018 offers. Our outstanding staff is excited to resume the school year in their new roles and feel confident that academic instruction will continue to offer students the tools they need to be successful.

Ms. Aplington will be taking her 3-4-5 class to the Del Oro Theatre for a special student showing of the Wild and Scenic Film Festival this Wednesday, January 10th. The bus will be leaving school promptly at 8:30, so please be on time that morning!

The basketball season is upon us. The team has been practicing over the break and they look amped and ready to play their first game this Wednesday, January 10th at 4 pm at Ready Springs. Their second game takes place Thursday, January 11th at 4 pm at Chicago Park. The schedule will be posted in the hallway and on the school website. Feel free to be a Cougars fan and go cheer them on!

Student Leadership Candidates rocked their interviews! The students were honest and articulate and provided great insight on what their plans were to improve the school community. Positions will be posted in the hallway as well as on our school website.

I am very happy to announce that thanks to Harmony Health Medical Clinic and Resource Center in Marysville, we will have an MFT intern available to Camptonville School to provide counseling services to students one a day a week starting January 10th. If you are interested in finding out more about these services or would like to make a referral, please contact Mrs. Ross at 288-3277.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing students back at school tomorrow morning!
